Services for children and youth with mental illness
There are separate systems to serve children and adults. If you seek help for mental health services in non-emergency/crisis situations, contact the Ministry of Children and Family Development at (604) 870-5880 and inquire about services available for those with mental illness.

Adolescent Resource Centre: (604) 826-8247

Provides a safe place that meets the social needs of the young people of Mission while providing resources that promote positive growth. The target age is 12-18 years. The centre provides a drug-free environment, positive entertainment and activities, life skills program, and alternate recreational activities. Open weekday evenings and some afternoons for a variety of groups and workshops. Friday and Saturday, open 7pm to 11pm for teen drop-in activities. Staff and volunteers supervise when the centre is open.

A life-skills outreach and support program for older youth who are transitioning from youth to adult mental health and social services. Based in Langley.

Youth Suicide Prevention/Child-Youth Counseling: (604) 826-3634

Provides services to children and youth who have attempted or who are at risk for suicide, and their families and friends, in Mission. The program offers short-term counseling and immediate crisis counseling.
